Design a Business Card Competition - Winners! Earlier this month 123Print gave you the chance to win a tablet by entering our design a Business Card Competition. The remit was simple, design a business card for your own design company or an imaginery business. Judging Criteria The Business Card designs were judged on the following criteria: 30% - Degree of innovation 30% - Creativity 30% - Visual Design 10% - Faithfulness to brief Winner After much consideration of the criteria set out above we finally chose our winner - Molly Hyland Molly designed this for a vehicle graphics company called Signs and Graphics UK Ltd. The card appears with a black car on it, and it has been coated with Thermochromic paint, so when people touch the car it turns blue. This design has been chosen to win because not only is it well designed but she has also put some thought into user interaction, which makes it all the more memorable and effective as a means of attracting business. Well done Molly! Runner's Up We have also chosen two runner's up. Their prize is getting their design printed onto our matt laminated luxury business cards - entries below - well done both of you. Eloise Holland & Harvey Loake. Eloise Holland:In her 2nd year at Coventry University studying illustration and graphics. Won the runner up position for her design for a fictional company called "Cafe Coffee" which she describes as 'A luxury, traditional coffee shop who takes pride in only using Fairtrade and organic ingredients to create their coffee'. This won runner up because of the really lovely illustrative quality she used whilst still keeping it simple and easily readable. Harvey Loake: In his 2nd year at Bath Spa University studying Graphic Communication. We liked Harvey's word search-style typographic design on the front of his card which encourages user-interaction to find the hidden information within the grid, whilst also providing easy to read info on the back.
