With Great Power Comes A Great Business Card: Part 1

Superheroes have flooded screens of every size, dominating the box office and our TVs at home. With so many heroes running around, it can be difficult to know who to contact if you ever need them. Luckily, we’re on the case, and one of our designers had some fun whipping up a couple of business cards for your favourite caped crime-fighters to leave once they’ve saved the day for us scared, helpless civilians.

Click through our designs to see them in full-scale. You’ll definitely need to for Mr. Lang!

Mr. Banner

Remember to take care of your cards, even if you’re tearing through tanks and buildings.

Mr. Murdock

For those of you wondering, the braille reads “don’t judge me by my movie”!

Mr. Kent

Kryptonite is a harmful substance that can cause mood swings, mutations, and even remove your superpowers (providing you’re from another planet).

Mr. Wayne

For those who work alone. Or at least refuse to acknowledge all of the help they receive.

Ms. Prince

Let’s hear it for the girls! And the next time you’re in danger, don’t forget about the Amazonians.

Mr. Lang

You might need a microscope for these designs, though just remember big things can come in small packages.

Mr. Stark

mrstarkcombined

Not every superhero is humble. Sometimes you’ve just got to show off the goods

Mr. Parker

Superheroes come in all shapes and sizes, and from all ages! Some people just have a little crazier ‘extra-curricular activity’ than others.

Be sure to check out the rest of our design over on page two. Unfortunately, these aren’t for sale, but why not try to make one of your own personalised business card?

5 Hobbies That Will Boost Your Brain

It’s annoying admitting it but your teachers were right: Your brain is like a muscle and to make it smarter you just need to give it a work out.  Scientists have proven that it is possible to increase your potential by exercising your mind- unfortunately endless hours of Downton Abbey or Candy Crush don’t count… Of course, Sudoku and reading the dictionary are well known ways to keep your brain up to speed – but those activities aren’t really that thrilling. If you fancy boosting your brainpower in an enjoyable way here are some recommendations

Grow something. Gardening is actually good for you. I mean, yeah you get to grow your own veggies and save yourself a trip to Mr Tesco’s but it also has some great benefits for your health and mind.  This green hobby reduces your levels of cortisol, which is a stress hormone and keeps your brain intact reducing the risk of dementia by 36%! Gardening has never sounded so good.

Take up Salsa. Everyone knows that exercise is good for your body and health, but it has also been proven to be good for your mind. In addition to having a physical workout, dancing reduces stress and increases cognitive activity – basically makes you smarter. There are so many benefits to this fun sport it is unreal, from making you a better leader to increasing your long-term memory. Who would have thought that breaking a sweat could be so positive? So, why not swap those office shoes for your dancing ones!

Shoot a Zombie. I know. The inner mum in me didn’t want to believe it either, but it’s true. Videogames may have a bad reputation but 30 minutes of gaming a day have been shown to improve strategic planning, spatial navigation and can develop your working memory. On top of all of that, a recent study also states that they can actually improve your hand-eye coordination. Who would have thought it?

Be the next Beethoven. Learning a musical instrument is a great fun way to get your brain ticking. Playing an instrument is proven to help with creativity, maths and analytical skill. If that isn’t good enough, to put the icing on the cake, playing a musical instrument raises IQ by seven points in both children and adults. Oh yeah, the thought of a keyboard is much more appealing now isn’t it?

Bonjour. Learning a language is a great investment of time, not only is it fab for traveling and becoming more cultured it can also slow brain aging which is always a bonus! According to research bilinguals are being at planning and task management due to better attention and task-switching capacitates in the brain. There are not many negatives of learning a new language: it will make you smarter, better at communicating and it will even make you better at speaking your first language.

So there you have it! Say goodbye to long nights of doing crosswords and chess to try and boost your knowledge. Why not take up a hobby which you can enjoy alongside helping your brain increase? You’re never too old to learn.

Star Wars Photo Album

The excitement is building, the robots are charged and the Falcon has landed- it’s time for the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Can you believe the time has actually come? Every fan can breathe a sigh of relief and every other human on the planet can be happy that Christmas will be the highlight of the month again… Well maybe not just yet.

With the release around the corner hardcore fans are probably struggling to contain their excitement, however, surely there will be just as many people who are starting the series for the firs time. With the film welcoming new characters and twists it seems like the perfect time to join the Star Wars family, so, welcome!

The Force Awakens is due out on the 17th of December and is the seventh episode to be added to the Star Wars film saga. No one could have predicted the success and loyalty that the films would generate when the first film was released in 1977. The second the first film was released in cinemas it became a global hit, becoming the second highest grossing film at that time after Gone With The Wind.

The series really has made a massive impact on the world, and some even believe that Star Wars isn’t just a film- It’s a way of life. From intense fight scenes to a whirlwind love story, there really is something for everybody making it one of the best films of all time… Ok, so this isn’t an official fact but, we’re pretty sure any film involving space, love and of course, lightsabers qualifies in the top three?

With all the hype and excitement surrounding the new film, the least we could do as a business, is release a content piece to show our appreciation to the Saga… And because we’re massive geeks and love Star Wars as much as the next Jedi, sorry I mean fan.

Why not check out our super cool nerdy Star Wars photo album! Combining two wonderful things- travel and of course Star Wars, have a look at these snaps of your favourite Star Wars characters as monuments and statues! We hope you love it as much as us. May be the force be with you.
